- No title? We can still help. Whatever the model year, we only buy an Indiana car with paper in hand: the title, a $15 BMV duplicate of it, or a $4 BMV certificate of authority. The certificate replaces the title only on cars 15 model years old or older, since buying a newer car with neither paper is a felony. Mention what you hold, from a bill of sale to a registration or insurance card, and we'll confirm the route when we call.
